While this is a victory for firearms owners it is important to recognize that this only delays the coming into effect date until December 2018. There is still more effort required in this fight against the UN Arms Trade Treaty, and we outline some points of what you can do to be active in the fight.
This win was only achieved by the firearms community, and the community consists of individual members. The marking regulations were only deferred because of tens of thousands of voices acting in sync. This is proof that the individual person can make a difference, and joining together to have your voice be heard will cause change.
Join as many firearm organizations as you can afford, if you can't afford them all find the organization that suits your values the most. When looking to join one of the Canadian firearms organizations search through their past victories, their court challenges, and their stated goals to make sure that the organization is a good fit for you.
